Usually, you can't find nice graffiti in Barcelona. Today I discovered that one, a homage to the great catalan poet Salvador Espriu. I was impressed by the fine calligraphy and the good taste for the composition.

When I was a child a saw a Mamba Verde at the zoo. Today, my sons met a Mamba at the science museum. Snakes are curious animals that provoques a mixture of fear and fascination. Although it was illustrated yellow, this snake makes me recall a "Little Prince" episode in which he lets it bite in order to come back to his metaphysical world.

Tomato time. I'm a tomato lover and I feel fortunate to live in a place where tomato is a cult fruit-vegetable (today at Vilassar de Mar market there was more than six different kinds). I can't imagine how could europeans survive before 1492 when it was brought from America.

Summer started just today. So it's time for local celebrations like this in Cornella, a worker town in the suburbs of Barcelona where I grow up. It's 5 p.m. and the older under a tree shadow,  sound technicians and the gipsy seller are waiting for the audience at the Plaza Catalunya. It's too hot for working, but cool for fiesta. For gossips, it doesn't really matter todays wether forecast.
